The PBT is covered by Ich on his entire body. he is still eating a lot and swimming, but not sure he is going to survive.
The Ich became worse progressively since last post. The ICH was at worst on Friday and Saturday, then the white spots started to drop off on Sunday. Today (Monday), I did not see even one spot left on the PBT. Continue to feed the PBT heavily so he has chance to fight the Ich. I saw sixline wrasse was scrapping himself on the rock, but no white spots; it only happened on Saturday.
Saw a few ich spots on the PBT this evening, first time since June 6th.
look like it is ich after all. the white dots fall off during the night, and showed up in the second half of the day light hour. Today, however, there are no visible white dots on the power blue all day. so ich is now in the invisible portion of its ;life cycle.
observed some small white dot growth on the skin of power blue tang for the first time. does not look like ich? will have to find other possible sickness.
replaced UV blub and set it for 24 hours/day to make sure its effectiveness.
After couple days of troubleshooting the died Reef Angle Controller, found the communication cable was the culprit. replace it and everything is working fine.
Today, my Reef Angel Controller died. was purchased last September, exactly 8 months. Now I'm wondering the reliability of this controller.....hopefully I will have the replacement soon.
Sea Hare got in tangle with the Elegant Coral, and started to release the red ink. Took the sea hare out to a holding tank to see make sure he is OK. The ink released dose not seem to affect other animals in the tank. The skimmer had collected most of the red ink as the skim mate turned red.
This tank is now pretty much GHA free, after 4 doses of AlgaeFix. The GHA was a problem since end of last year. Standard measures such as frequent WC, GFO reactor, Sea Hare, etc. did not seemed to help much as GHA continue to take hold on the rocks. Algaefix save the tank for me.
ICH outbreak is now over I think. all remaining fish are swim and eat normally.
