Today and yesterday(Apr/01/02 2022), I re-aquascaped reefer 170 tank.
Because angel fish or other big fish not compatible with most of the plant, I can't have nice planted tank. Everyday looking at this tank, it doesn't give me joy but some bad feeling...
Finally I decided to tear off the old aqua scape and re do it.
This round I am using substrate support for the first time, I hope this method can keep the substrate slope in shape over the time.
I really love to have a s- repens plant as carpet plant tank, so this time I am using s repens as carpet plant.
Chihiros WRGB II 60cm LED arrived and installed...
The water/plant color of Reefer 170 is not really that great, it looks bluish, if I turn off the blue LED, it will look some kind yellowish, it just not like Chihiro WRGBII LED can give vibrant vivid pure white color, finally today I made my mind to change this AI expensive LED to Chihiro WRGB II 60cm LED ($197)...
Today I attached some moss to the drift wood branches, Let's give it a few weeks to see how it looks later.
Actually I am not a fan of moss, but I think I may missed something if I am away from moss, so give another try again...
Update: July 15/2021
All the moss attached to wood almost all gone ( I guess picked by the fishes...)...
I really love the Main pump switch modification on P60 tank (when the pump is turned off, an indicator will On), so plan to modify reef170 main switch to have this function as well this evening after work.
1) Need to buy 1 gang 2 way switch.
2) I have indicator already.
3) Modify the wire connection, it takes about 1 hour+ to complete- need to remove the old switch and re-drill a big hole for the new switch... I can do it, just need to take a while...certainly I will love the outcome...

Update:
As planned, I modified the main pump switch with indicator. It looks so cool and nice! I love it!
Reefer 170 doing well, this evening after work, plan to go Clementi 328 fish shop to get the bubble counter changed (leaking). Then buy some cleaning crew(golden sucker fish/dory...) for reefer 170 tank...and maybe buy one the cool betta fish ($28)...

Updated:
as planned, went to 328 fish shop, returned leaking bubble counter then bought 2 betta fish ($50) and marble algae eater x6, gory x2, rainbow tetra x6... $68 spent on fishes again...
I am happy about that I am raising the bar for betta fish now--- I am looking at most beautiful (means most expensive as well) fish now...
I spent 2 days (June/10 and 11) on Cube30 tank setup, then on June/12 evening, I decided to redo reefer 170 tank, starting to move the fishes out to temp tank and pail...
In last two days I am going crazy a little bit about the cube 30cm tank, I am ready scared to do new aqua scaping... but luckily I found out drift wood is looking very nice, so I may put drift wood inside reefer170 and make a very simple aqua scaping...

Nano 45cm tank is doing well, it's time to re-aquascape this tank...
Same time I setup a 30cm cube tank, so I can to fish shop to source the items one shot for 2 tanks.
Reefer 170 running into problems: black hair algae growing on the short/tall plant and the ground orchid plant stop growing and it is decaying fast.
There is no aqua scaping work done for this tank, when I setup this tank time, it's my first planted tank, as long as the plant can grow well, I am satisfied, now it's time to move to nice aqua scape tank...
I still don't have a idea how to do it, but I believe it will be much nicer than the current one...
