All fish appear to be in good health, tank feedings occur 3-4 per day. Light has been on for longer hours which is contributing to a light green file on my rocks. Cleaned glass for the first time, very light red algae slim came off. Will reduce photo period. Did first water change, approximately 15 gallons. Installed two sea swirls and maxed my dc pump. Times both heads to rotate together, fish love the flow! Chromis now school up when the current ‘blows’ their way. Clownfish are doing the dominance dance right now, I’m looking for some popcorn.

Added 9 chromis and two clownfish last Sunday. All doing well. Also grabbed a very nice cannery wrasse on Monday. Refuge is a total lagoon with different algae, looks messy but somewhat natural. It’s working overtime, currently feeding the tank 3-4 times a day. I have absolutely no algae in the display tank. It’s completely virgin looking dry rock. I have not needed to clean the glass since i got it wet. Micro bubble scrubbing done twice a week for 1 hour. Cleaned skimmer cup this weekend too. It was completely full of black stinky sludge. Also installed my new overflow, handles a nice volume with no sound or overflow box. Drawing up the new canopy to build. Lost most of my chaeto, dosing iron didn’t seem to change the decline but I may have been to late. There is one small ball the went rogue early and is still alive, so I’m not sure went wrong.

Added orchid dottyback and cleaner shrimp to display tank. Changed filter socks. Dosing 5ml of iron a day. Added stock fish only light fixture that came with the tank. Lots of pods in display tank.
Mangroves are putting out some impressive growth. Plants arrived with one set of leaves, new set are emerging. One in particular has sprouted a new nod. Lots of pods. Red macro algae is thriving, chaeto looks very sluggish. I ordered iron supplement, which should improve its health.

Plumbed return line and turned on new DC pump. Display tank is extremely quiet. Pump set at half speed for now. Tank will sit for a couple of months without lights as it goes through a mini cycle.

New Mangoves arrived. I ordered 10 and received 14 all with leaves. Fully submerged, standing up right in deep sand bed. 8-10” from water line. Happy ending to a rough day.

Clown fish down! :(. Not sure what happened, fish was breathing heavy for five days, minimal food intake and sleepy-like behavior with or without lights.

Moved display tank and stand inside. Hard plumbed two 1” drain lines to sump. Added sand, rock and started water. Deep blue background looks pretty good. Should be interesting with coral in front.

Rinsed substrate. Drained display tank and removed rock. Painted back of display tank. Pods everywhere. New clowns are settling in nicely. Macro algae is growing. Little to no algae on the sand now. I have done no water changes.
