Still having issues with ammonia levels. I have been doing water changes every two days, I didn't feed for two days, cleaned gravel....I don't know what to do! I have had numerous aquariums over the years and never had this issue before, I am pulling my hair out!

So I got tired of having test kits that weren't all together. The box/container that the API kits come in works for a little bit but the plastic ends up breaking. I found a nice case that has adjustable dividers and adjustable foam that works great for organizing my test regents and test tubes. I posted a picture of what I have done so far, I will be doing a cut out for my hydrometer and adding a couple of timers for use when performing the tests.

Ammonia levels are still high but they are starting to come back down. I changed my filter to the Aqua Clear system and added a bag of API Zeolight to the filter. I am going to test again tonight and perform another water change if needed.

Yesterday I decided to change my HOB filter from the Aqueon filter to the Aqua Clear filter system. I like the way the filtration system works on these and hopefully this will help with my ammonia issue.

I'm having issues with ammonia levels in my freshwater tank. This tank is lightly stocked, well maintained and previously cycled but lately my ammonia levels keep climbing up. I have performed numerous water changes to help keep the levels down but nothing seems to work. I have conditioned the water, added API Stress Zyme, API Stress Coat and API Ammo Lock, but last night my ammonia levels spiked to 8ppm.

I am at a loss!
