A quick rinse this morning to get the rest of the vinegar / water solution out. Once I get a stand for this tank it will get setup. I'll fill it and drain it a few times I am sure before I finally get it actually setup for fish.

Stone bottom will be the thing. Unsure if I'll keep the same stone colors or change it up.

Location of this tank may change also. Will have to work on that part too.

Finally.... Initial rinse out completed. Not sanitizing with vinegar / water mix. Some calcium buildup at the top just like the other tank but this is a start. It's breaking up some now with the vinegar.

Once this has been completed and a good rinse done then I'll go from there. The stand that this was on needs some serious help though. It's falling apart. Once I get the supplies and what not from inside that I can flight the whole thing over and see what I can do. Water damage. Cheap wood. Not sure I have the time to make one at this point. But that is being considered. :)

Once it's done setting with mixture I'll drain it and rinse it out good. This tank is a lot easier to do since it is smaller.

The tear down has begun. I am using bleach on the things I can save and the other things have been tossed out.

Stone I am still not sure about yet. For either tank for that matter.

Looks like the filter for this tank might be shot. We shall see. The impeller and impeller hole is pretty bad off. Must have been water left in there all of these years. Trying some vinegar now to help break up the calcium. We shall see how that works.

Need to tear down and sanitize this tank. I did enjoy this one. So much buildup of crud in it though as it's been sitting empty for a long time.
