Tank update time so the last few weeks I have been cleaning all my pumps, wave pumps and skimmers. Some of them had a large build up on the propellers. I also received a replacement Vectro L1 because cleaning it don't solve the problem of it running hot or the fact it would just lose flow every now and then.
I also noticed after all this cleaning my SPS coral don't have their polyps out and this will be the second week. I will be doing a water change this weekend. I am thinking of doing 40 gallons instead of my typical 30 gallons, this way I can also remove some detritus from the sump.
I also added a second light on the refugium since the celerpa continued to die off. The celerpa is making a come back which should help the tank in all. However the cyanobacteria has also returned but seems to be in check for now so I believe I will just leave it. On the overflow some more bropsis has popped up and may need to be scrubbed off and I hope it just goes down to the filter socks and doesn't spread to other parts of the tank.
I added a jebao dosing pump to the tank last Saturday and have been testing the ALK, CAL and MAG everyday this week trying to dial the dosing amounts in. The MAG is the one that has always confused me seems to fluctuate up and down in a random form and sometimes never requires any dosing. Maybe getting the ALK and CAL dialed in will change this out come.

Friday I added the Chemi Clean to try and kill the cyanobacteria and after a 2 day wait I would say 95% of it was dead but I went ahead and added the remaining amount that would have dosed 100 gallons. After waiting 2 more days the cyanobacteria looks to have died, I tried turning back on the skimmer but it went nuts so I turned on the reactor to start pulling out any medicine remains. Tonight I will try the skimmer again and this weekend I will do a 30 Gallon water change. I think I am approaching 3 months without a water change and the levels are all holding steady and the tank looks good, probably the best it has. I also received the order from Liveaquaria but the Jawfish wasn't shipped. I added the Green Mandarin directly to the display because of its feeding requirements and he seems to be doing well, he was a very good size. The fighting cronch and sea cucumber was also put in the display. The cronch took a couple days to start moving about the tank but is now on the move sifting through the sand. The cucumber has crawled up the glass so I might need to put him back on the sand if he doesn't come down himself. I still have the Yellow Candy Hogfish and the 2 Spot Goby in the first quarantine tank, they are in 2 weeks both are eating and looking well. I setup my second quarantine tank for the Flame Angle and he started eating the first night but is still being shy but starting to come out and swim more.

This week end will be the 2 week mark and no return signs of the bryopsis. However the refugium has started to get cyanobacteria so I ordered some Chemi Clean and will dose it Friday once it arrives. After 2 days I will turn back on the skimmer and media reactor. I will also do a water change next weekend. I have also ordered a few fish from Live aquaria and this should complete my fish stocking unless something dies or needs to be removed and replace for whatever reason.

After the one week wait no byropsis was coming back but I went ahead and added another 20 pills on Aug 19th and will waited 2 more weeks. I also replaced the culerpa in the refugium since most had die out when I had the refugium light fall into the water. I did turn off the skimmer for 2 day after dosing and the media reactor is still off. All water levels are staying in check.

After 2 weeks the fluconazole had kill 85% of the bryopsis. I went ahead and ordered more pills to dose again. This time I added 20 pills and turned off the skimmer for 2 days and the media reactor remained off. However after a week I had not seen any more die back so I dosed another 20 pills and waited another 2 week. Still there was no more die back so I decided to scrub the remaining few spots and clean the entire refugium and soak my power head in vinegar. With surprise it all came off with easy before this stuff would not let go but this time just touching the bryopsis it would just let go. After everything was cleaned and all debris had been remove I changed the filter socks (3 times in fact through the whole process) Now I will wait 1 week before dosing another 20 pills.

So I followed the instructions of the Polyp Lab Medic and dosed one full bottle over the span of 20 days. After the 20 days I did a water change and turned back on the media reactor. Now to my need problem the algae that has been on some of the rock since I had them in the 75 gallon. Yes I know I should have never added them to this tank if they were a problem in the old tank but I did. I decided to get some opinions from other reefers on our local facebook page and a few thought it was hair algae but a few thought it was bryopsis that was just being starved so it was very stringy. After a bit of discussion and some research I decided to go with fluconazole. On July 8th I added 18 200ml pills to the tank and turned of the media reactor so now to wait 2 weeks.
Started dosing poylplab medic
This weekend I add a new Vectra L1 to increase the flow going to the display and replace the pump running the reactor. I did have to make a couple changes to my sump because of the increased flow. I will also need to change my current flow valve for my ATO the increased flow will not allow the valve to float up. One week ago I add 2 DC wave pumps I got off Ebay and they seem to be working well. THe nice thing in they have an option for a random flow mode so the current is always changing. There is also a night mode that allows the pumps to decrease the flow at night and keep the flow constant. Two Weeks ago I also added a Foxface rabbit fish to help deal with algae that the Yellow tang wasn't interested in but he also has no interest in the algae. Three weeks ago I ordered a cleanup crew for Liveaquaria and in the pack I go t 4 Peppermint Shrimps to fight the aptasia. To seems to have worked, within a few days I could no longer find any more aptasia. However this weekend I did see two heads so hopefully they get them soon. I have also added two anemones. Green Bubble Tip was added three weeks ago and the Rainbow Bubble Tip two weeks ago. The Green Bubble tip looked good for two weeks but the last week has looked very stringy and I don't think it ever fully eats an thing I feed it but I think I will try some smaller misas shrimp tonight. The Rainbow Bubble tip seems to be happy and eating well. I did pipe my air line to the sump outside to try and increase my PH but its still at 8.14 to 8.1.

I add a Yellow Tang to the tank to hopefully eat some algae I have growing on the live rock that I moved from the 75 Gallon. I checked all the levels and everything seem to be steady but the phosphates are still at .04. I believe this is due to my pump for the reactor being in the refugium and not in a more high flow area. There for I had ordered a new line to move this pump and placed it in the skimmer compartment. The skimmer seem to be broken in but still trying to dial it in and get rid on the micro bubbles. I also go the ATO setup so this will be a big help not doing this by hand everyday. I did manage to teardown and cleanup the 75 gallon and the old crushed coral in the sump smelled so bad.

Added the refugium light, main lights and the skimmer. Also discovered the Starry Blenny I thought was dead or at least MIA while tearing down the 75 gallon was apparently in some rocks and somehow survived being out of water while building the new rock structure (3-4 hrs).
