Today the nitrites dropped to 0!!! Nitrates are around 5. Time for a water change. I think the tank cycled.

upgraded to a MJ1200 pump. Also noticing diatoms now beginning to form. Changed out the filter floss

Today during testing of my tank, I noticed the SG went up a bit from yesterday. Not exactly sure why, but maybe this is just part of the cycling process. I did top off the water with about 1 gallon of RODI water and then checked SG again with a refractometer. Tank is now back down to 1.026. Will reassess tomorrow.

Tanks seems to be well on its way with cycling. Ammonia the same, yet Nitrate has gone above what my test kit can read. Sit and wait now.
