so it is the 8th day of cycling I am starting to worry a bit as ammonia is not really going down. yesterday I've added some porous media to give more room for bacteria but so far I can't see any benefits. the ammonia is still at the level of over 2ppt, don't know exactly as my test going just to 2. nitrite is still .5ppt and nitrate is 5ppt. tomorrow I'll measure again and hopefully it will finally go down. if not I'll buy another bottle of nitrifying bacteria.

today I am on day 4 of the cycle, I've done all the checks recommended by Dr Tim. ammonium NH3 is still way over 2 ppm however red sea test which I have measuring just to 2 ppm. I have noticed Increased Nitrites NO2 those at level 0.4ppm which is increased 0.2 ppm from yesterday which means that something is happening. water is perfectly clear now which is an improvement as well☺️

this morning I've added another 15ml of ammonia to my tank, this was 5 am now 9. 20am I am doing a check of ammonia levels just because I am curious.

so today I've check pH, ammonium and nitrite levels in my tank, to my surprise, ammonia level dropped to 0.4ppm (it was over 2ppm yesterday) and I can see nitrite showing up already at level of 0.2ppm. my pH is quite low at around 7.4ppm. od Dr Tim's website says that if it will drop bellow 7 to do 25% water change so we will se how it will go. I would prefer to avoid this as I don't have spear salt to do this now😅

Last weekend I created aquascaping for the fish tank and today I've finished filling it with water. I've used Dr Tim's nitrifying bacteria and ammonia for fishless cycling.
