Introduction
This is my very first attempt at fishkeeping! I was inspired by my brother's beautiful discus tank. That has been a LOT of fun. I've learned a bunch in the past 27 days! Great hobby!

Beamworks 18" - 22" Freshwater Bright LED purchased on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=111102840990&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:US:3160)
My two gold gouramis (male and female) are not getting along all that well as of 1/27/14. The male seems to be picking on the female but ramming into her side, chasing her and fin-nipping (though I'm having a hard time seeing if her fins are getting eaten as she is too shy and stays to the back side of the tank whenever I'm close enough to observe her). I don't know what I'm going to do. Both of them are much darker than they were when I brought them home. Not sure if that is due to stress or not. Since they do have the potential of growing up to 6" (though 4" is more likely), I'm considering returning the female to the LFS and just keeping the male. Any advice?
I used Tetra SafeStart to cycle my tank with 5 zebra danios. This worked great!
