I was going to lower temperature to help control spawning, but temperature is already at 72 degrees. Aquarium looks good but parameters are far from ideal.
Goldfish still has Koi pox.
Tons of detritus in the substrate.

Nitrates are unusually high since the last time I tested the aquarium. Feed every other day and only what they will eat in 3 minutes. Cutting back on food will not only help improve water quality, but may also reduce spawning from the bristlenose pleco’s.

Smell is definitely coming from the food. There are large amounts of it rotting between the top frame and glass canopy.

While gravel vacuuming, I found LARGE amounts of uneaten food. Please feed every other day and what they’ll eat in 3 minutes.
