Yes definitely I see more and more shrimps appear in the tank after I solved the shrimps being sucked in to canister filter issue.

Every time clean the canister filter, always can find quite a lot (> 10) small shrimp inside the filter, yet I have no solution for it for years... and I am wondering why I can't have more shrimp inside this tank, the population of shrimps just keep at the same a few amount.
1 week ago, again I found quite some small shrimp inside the canister filter, I decide to solve this issue and I got the solution: 3D design/print a shrimp safe water intake of the surface skimmer and also block most part of the bottom water intake.
Today 5 days later after I am using the 3D printed water intake, this morning I check again the canister, the result is superb, there is 0 shrimp or small fish fry inside the canister filter !!!

Found the tank bottom front right side monte carlo is rotten, top green layer is gone, only left bottom - fully rotten... I guess it is due to lack of light and nutrition. So I give tank a good trim... I hope the rotten part can recover back--- but I don't have confidence about it...but at the worst part- I can redo the whole tank again...nothing to worry...

I give monte carlo one more round trimming, now the height down to 1.5cm to 2 cm tall only. I believe monte carlo can fully recover.
Monte carlo is growing fast and top layer looking good.
But I am worried it is growing too tall...it is almost 7-9cm.
So I give a good trimming again, only find the bottom layer badly brown out...
This is my 2nd time making this same mistake. Last round, after trimming, I didn't do re-plant, the brown out spot recovered it by itself, it took about 1 month time, I didn't record down the recovery picture. This time I am going pay more attention, will take pictures every a few days to monitor the recovery progress. I hope it will come back stronger...!
For quite some time (about 2 months) I found out the monte carlo stop growing, color is yellowish and rotten.
11 days ago, I found out Co2 is almost stopped and turn up Co2 supply, then monte carlo start growing like crazy...
Today suddenly found all the fish almost all died due to too Co2...

I bought 50 diamond head neon tetra today noon, and then moved all the fish (except tool fish) to 60cm tank.
This is tank will be single species - Diamond head neon tetra only tank...
