FAQ and Feedback

AquaticLog FAQ The intention for this post is to help answer some of the questions you may have about AquaticLog. It will be continuously updated and will be pinned to the top. Feel free to leave your feedback in the comments below. History My name is Dmitry Tumanov and I had started AquaticLog as a website to help me get organized with my foray into reef aquariums in November 2012. Since then I had continued working on every year and have made over 740 updates to the website. First versions of native mobile apps were written in 2014 and now mobile app is the predominant way that users access the service. In early 2018 I’ve built industry first Artificial Intelligence recommender system that to this day helps making suggestion to aquarists on optimal parameters for their aquariums. In late 2018 AquaticLog has hit 1,000,000 measurements mark, you can see real-time number of measurements taken so far at the bottom of every web page. While I have my main job, both programming and reefing are my passions and I continue to work on native iPhone app, native Android app and website whenever I can. When you pay for the app you directly support this development, thank you. You can also see all of my aquariums on YouTube channel. Cloud Sync AquaticLog app allows seamless syncing between iPhone, Android and web. Should you switch phones or even mobile platforms, all your data is safe. You can also make your data private or share with other aquarists to get advice or bragging rights. Sponsors Big thank you to long-term supporters of AquaticLog: EcoTech, AquaIllumination, NYOS, PolypLab and many others. You have helped a lot in expanding this service. Free As of November 2019, on its 7th birthday the app was made free to all of you. Enjoy. If you feel that I'm doing a great job and want to say an extra thank you, please consider sending a donation. Import your parameters If you would like to import your parameters, you can easily do so by logging to the website, going to your parameters page and clicking on a single existing parameter. You will then see an "Import" button, clicking on it will take you to a page where you can upload a Comma-Separated file (CSV) and instructions on how to do so.

trickystank ‐ Hi buddy, still loving the app! Any news on seneye integration?
erman48 ‐ AquatcLog is a GREAT app, a 100% better way of logging parameters, and maintains!
dtum@mikel great suggestion, I'll work on it
mikel ‐ The app is great overall but seems to have marine as the main for us and perhaps most users? For us tropicals, finding species can be a hard slog. I would suggest that you split your database along marine/freshwater lines as much as possible to make it a
dtum@mikesreef6 thank you Michael for bringing this to my attention, fixed.
mikesreef6 ‐ Since update my inhabitants are listed as far as numbers of fish, coral etc but I can no longer see the actual entries or the pics of them ?
dtum@aquaaggie thanks, I have added it to the new version now. Sorry about it.
aquaaggie ‐ New update for inhabitant categories is great but removing the “move” feature is terrible. Many people use quarantine and having to renewer fish to move them out of quarantine is unnecessary!
dtum@david426 excellent, glad it is resolved
david426 ‐ I figured it out, it was me.
david426 ‐ Hello, enjoying the app! The swipe right menu to add parameters has stopped working for me and I need to add calcium to track measuremets. What can I do? Thank you

dtum@hboutilier can you please elaborate on what you mean? what does pw stand for? and what do you mean by reserving it
hboutilier ‐ how do I reserve my pw
dtum@stevemm hi Steve, yes you can. You can do it in your mobile app or login to aquaticlog.com website and change it there. Simply click on an existing entry and it will give you an option to change it.
stevemm ‐ Can I edit an old value on a parameter? Somehow I made an error, because my salinity values are 100x too high on one date a month ago, so the graph is now useless. I need to edit the values on that one date. Thanks.
dtum@raz7728 yes, if you login to aquaticlog.com with your credentials you will see the export button at the bottom of the measurements screen (as well as other data screens)
raz7728 ‐ Hello. Is possible to export the parameters values to csv ?
blabay ‐ on android app, when I try to add photo of inhabitatnt it rotates photos from my gallery.
