Reefer 170 (G1) - beautiful tank...fairly easy to setup. I didn't bother using the ATO since it's not large enough to bother with...I just add manually daily / no problem for this size of tank. The only other improvement would be a better flow valve (gate valve instead of a diaphragm valve)

Reefer 170 user First class tank. My only problem with this tank is the Auto top off. If it wasn't for this it would get 5 stars.

It's a great aquarium, I'd recommended it for anyone seriously starting out in the hobby as it has all the basics u would need for a starter. I do which it had a better Auto Top off system tho, also a bigger sump.

The Red Sea Reefer tanks are great. Just finished setting up my Reefer 170 and it couldn't have been easier. The ATO is probably the only thing I could say anything negative about as it's only 1.5 gallons.

As far as off the shelf tanks go, they won't get much better than the Reefer series. I've got the 450 (white). The design is modern and slick. The plumbing is great and it's all ready to go out the box with no glueing. My only problem with this tank is the glass is so scratchable. I've not had a tank before that scratched so easily. The new range of peninsular tanks seems to solve the issue of the centre weir, which I'm not a fan of. So it look like Red Sea will continue to rule this sector.
