Introduction
I started off with a saltwater tank back in 1992 while living in Hawaii. The tank wasn't very successful since I didn't follow or know very much while the internet really didn't exist to assist.
In 2011, my wife let me buy a BC29 which I kept for 3 years running with a bubble tip anemone, two clowns, a six line wrasse, and a stary blenny. The tank had various LPS corals and grew fairly well.
In 2015, I was able to upgrade to a 280 gallon aquarium and kept that running for 1.5 years before I broke the tank down. The tank housed a gig, two clowns (bonded pair), two six line wrasses (bonded pair), two green dragonets (bonded pair), 2 Hoeven Wrasses (bonded pair), various tangs (approximately 7 different varieties), one foxface, and two flame angelfish (bonded pair).
Returned back to the hobby in December 2016 with the purchase of my current Red Sea Reefer 350.

Words of Wisdom
Have backup equipment for the just in case something breaks. Example would be a backup return pump or a backup skimmer pump.
Disasters & Regrets
Had a return pump seal go out on me and didn't have a backup pump. I went out and purchased a pump that would work until I could get the primary pump fixed only to break the pump that I just purchased. This is my reason for having backup equipment for that "just in case" moment arrives again and that equipment will be assembled ready to go for that one day something fails.
