Introduction

Hi my name is Big Pete I am a proud Scot living and working in Dubai.

I am a Sales Engineer who took up the hobby a few years ago with freshwater, the natural progression was to move to marine which I did with the RSM 250.

Salt water has been a big learning curve for me but I am enjoying it no matter what mother nature throws at me in the way of algae issues etc...

Background

I was running a freshwater Discus tank for a few years and decided to take the plunge into salt water, it is so much more rewarding than freshwater.

I only use Seachem/Aquavitro products as I personally feel they are the best, I am currently using Red Sea Coral Pro salt for no other reason than I can not obtain Seachem salt.

Inspiration & Goals

My goal is to get the levels correct but using natural means, i am trying not to go down the road of reactors etc... My inspiration is to get the tank looking as good as possible

Words of Wisdom

Nothing in this hobby happens fast, you are dealing with mother nature, so please have patience

Disasters & Regrets

I have had loads of disasters but fortuntely they were all made with the freshwater tank, marine is an education and i am learning as i go.

So far so good

Acknowledgements

I would like to thank The Reef Sancuary, without the input of all the great members i really would be lost
