Zeovit method ....
I will be utilising the full Zeo method. In the early stages, from set up, will be the basic 4 which are,
Zeolites, ZeoBak, Sponge Power and ZeoStart3.
The Zeolites are in a Vertex Zeolite reactor, on continuos flow, with the Zeolites tumbled at least twice a day. Smaller stones are kept in 2 mesh bags to prevent clogging of the base plate.
Coral Snow and Zeozym will be used for problem algae.
Additives for coloration will be a later project.

My aim is to have a tank where the corals are on show. It will be an SPS dominant reef tank.
I do like my Anthias and Bellus Angels, however, I won't be planning on adding any fishes until at least 6 months of maturity. This is a concept I picked up from a Taiwan reefer and it is sound. It is to allow stability of the tank and also a change for the slow growing coral to establish.

I have set up the following solutions:
Zeostart3 (1:9)
Hence, 0.1 ml = 1 ml for dosing.
Add 100 ml of ZeoStart to 900 ml of BOILED and cooled RO water. Have to keep water clean so as not to contaminate solution.
Sponge Power (5:95)
Hence, 1 drop = 1 ml
Measure volume of 1 drop = 0.05 ml.
Add 50 ml Sponge Power to 950 ml RO water.
K Balance (dose neat)
I have set up the following solutions:

I aim to derive pleasure from maintaining my tank and livestock rather than to treat it like a chore. To achieve this, I have made the following:
1. Water changes are simply a turn of a valve and a switch for the pumps.
2. Automate skim-mate removal by a timed dosing pump and use the Vertex skimmer neck cleaner.
3. My water change and make up station is located in the garage one floor below. I make RO water on site and use the effluent to water my small garden.
4. Stirring of the sand bed regularly with dosing of Coral Snow after to help export detritus. Its a shallow sand bed 1-2 cm.
5. Clean the aquarium glass every 2-3 days.
