After tracking down the source of silica being leached into water and causing brown algae (diatoms) outbreak I’ve removed entire substrate that was causing it and replaced. Appears to have solved the issue, although my biological will take a small hit. The Fluval Canisters should be able to handle any excessive loss to filter bed although I did get a
.25 ammonia test this evening. It will take a bit to even back out. Added a maintenance dose of Stability to re seed the filter bed.
New Background finally put on and setup is pretty much finished.

All of the little guys seem to be in the middle of adapting to much larger aquarium. Congo is even coming out and not spending all his time, aside feeding time lol, inside his castle. Give another month or so and will add a new tank mate. Debating on a Frontosa.

After first water parameter check ammonia measured at
.25 ppm so will do 30% water change. All other parameters appear good. Will add Seachem Stability after water change to boost bacteria.
Just set up new 125 gallon aquarium last weekend. Using gravel bed and Fluval Cannister from my old 60 gallon setup as well as another new Fluval FX6 making a pair. The little guys seem to be acclimating well.
