In an attempt to correct Mag I was a little heavy handed. I’m over my target by 350ppm. I will begin water changes this week, and slowly bring it down. It shouldn’t hurt much in the tank, but I think a few of the snails have died or are comatose!
I need to update my cleaning crew regardless. Might have to put in an order with Alex.

Trying to get Mag back up to normal levels or a bit higher. Targeting 1475 for now. Dosing over the next 3 days to get it back to the correct levels.
Large patch of bubble algae has appeared on the left back row of rocks. Upping mag and buying two more emerald crabs. Afraid the old emerald is dead.

Back from MACNA. Bought lists of coral but lost all but one piece of SPS on the ride home. I'll add the coral to livestock soon.

Lost my Naso Tang while at MACNA. RIP Zelda, she was my little puppy fish. :(

I moved the remaining Jason fox corals off the sand bed and onto temporary spots on the rocks. I will let them sit a week or two and then epoxy them if they like the spots I have chosen.
Increased alkalinity dosing by 5ml on the DOS. Hopefully this will prevent any further swings and bump all back up where it should be. I am going to have to test again Thursday or Friday to confirm this worked.
Adjusted angle of front gyre to provide more surface agitation.
I need to slightly angle up the back gyre before placing new SPS on rocks.
I have adjusted the heater programming on my Apex. I had previously been aiming to keep the tank around 80 degrees. Now I will be targeting 78-79 degrees. So basically I have dropped it 1 degree. My final target will likely be 77-78, but this is a change I want to make slowly over the course of a few weeks.
Adjusted lighting schedule to include morning and evening hours with just the ReefBrite actinics. So far the corals seem to like it, the SPS is starting to get some polyp extension and the only concern is my fire dragon actor so far. Still hoping it will color up after a long adjustment.
