Today is the Day - Tank Move Day - Objective:
- Get the Tank Moved to my house without damage
- Get the Existing Live Stock to the LFS Home
Tonight Starts the Big Weekend.
- Do a 10% WC on my 55 G
- Clean the Glass
Tomorrow Move My New Tank
- Get the Current inhabitants to the LFS
- Start the Cleaning Process
- Pics to LA and R2R
Just a Reminder AquaScaping might be a little bit more of a Challenge - the Access to the tank is at the top and only through two Holes - Well I am Tall and Inventive. Lonnie's Reef Will Live.
Wife told me that Pigmy Angelfish was poking at my Acan coral. She then noticed that he was poking at the Torch. She put in 1/2 Clam for the Angelfish-The Cardinal started guarding the Clam. Stay tuned.
Bought a powerhead/pump at OF today. Def rated for the large tank. Supposed to be very powerful.
Did a Top off of Saltwater/RO - 1.5 Gallons. I will check and edit the SG Test later today.
Starting to gather the materials for "Green Reef". Ordered 53 lbs of Dry Rock today. Started getting what I need to Clean the Tank when I get it. Also I have a home for the Livestock that makes the move. One of the LFS will take the fish. The would not get along with my fish. This will also reduce the pressure to get Green Reef running.
After this mornings water Test, I think I might be feeding to much again. Lets cut back to:
- 5ml Mysis Shrimp per day. (2 Syringes)
- Reef Roids 1 per week (1 Syringe)
- WC tonight (about 10 - 15 Gallons)
- Will Add the Nitrite Filter Pads to the HOBs tonight
- Change 1 Filter Pad in each HOB
Noticed that ZOA the Pigmy has been poking at - does not seem to open up like it did before - this is probably due to his poking at it. Thankfully he has been only poking at the one. Think I will still try to keep him, but will try a couple things
- Direct Feeding of Him (Daily)
- Once the New tank is in place he will be one of the first fish in - the Protein Skimmer and the LARGER Tank should help with my ability to feed him.
Aquascaping may have to be done differently (Kinda of Wet Aquascaping in the Tank with Fish). Maybe I need to get my 20 Gal Running Real Quick (for Temp Housing of some Livestock).
Well should be going over to look at my new tank tonight. Also rounded up another person to help with the move. Still gathering more Ideas on the Aquascape. Although things might change a bit, I might keep the tank running, I am looking to get 6 Damsels (They can help Cycle the tank - once that is done I can tank them to my LFS). We will see what livestock makes the move.
I need to change the filters in my HOBs tonight and see about getting some RO this weekend. Hopefully only a few more trips to get RO.
