Keep having to deal with brown algae. Think it maybe left over nitrites combined with direct sunlight hitting the tank. Should not have that problem with the new tank.
At the suggestion of some folks at R2R, I moved the torch today - to the sand bed. Did water test today - prob will do change of 5 gallons Thursday Night.
Added my Fathers Day Present today (a Yellow Green Torch Coral) It adds needed color to the tank.
I have a plan for getting rid of the Aptasia Anomoe. Our LFS (SB) will take the Kenya Tree Coral Rock and let their peppermint shrimp make a snack of the pest
Was advised by Waters at Reef2Reef that my Nitrates are fine - a slightly elevated quantity is good for the corals
Nominal feeding. The clown fish still hits the syringe when it is feeding time. The lfs suggest I feed every other day, but I think this would starve the fish.
Have done some reading regarding moving a large aquarium. Have started a moving checklist - move is probably 2-3 weeks away so this gives me time to do additional research and gather essential information on the new tank, it's inhabitants and equipment. I need to come up with a plan to handle the new inhabitants if they don't get along with my fish in my existing tank.
WiFi Signal Still Weak but Lights appear to have retained their programming. Will try and getaway with the current setup as the AI primes will move to the new tank.
Expect to add additional corals this weekend:
1 Gorilla Nipple
1 Fancy Zoa
1 Fancy Chalice
Normal Feeding today. No Special Reaction - Noted that I had been under reporting the amount of Mysis Shrimp I had been feeding (it is 3 Syringes of Mysis Shrimp at 2.5 ml each. The Corals will get target fed 1 per week now.
Started Work on my moving plan. The end goal is to move move the inhabitants into a 185 Gallon Tank. The target date for this is 7/8/2017.
